Excited about 2007
Just wanted to say how excited I am about starting a new year with The Point. I believe that this year is going to be an exciting time in the life of our church as we seek to really establish a movement in the New Brunswick and North Brunswick area. I want to challenge all of us to really ask God what it means to bring in the Kingdom of God to the North Brunswick area. What does it look like practically? We are really open to any ideas for service projects and ways to help out the local community. In the summer, this is much easier as we will continue to provide activities for the kids in our area. But, we don't want to wait until the summer to really start serving. So, commit to pray as a community for God to open some huge doors in the weeks and months to come.

happy 2007! i'm excited about starting a new year at the point too! some possible community service projects for the new year: support our troops from no. brunswick! there is a billboard in the municipal building with photos of troops serving in iraq. we could possibly get to know the families left behind, & also send love to those fighting for us.
also, the parks need cleaning. both babbage park & the north village park. way too much graffiti...how about some powerwashing. =0)
Good ideas, Asia. I'm actually in touch with NB parks department about the power washing idea. I think that we can do that one pretty quickly.
I love you guys so much. Being away from you is already very hard for me. As you may already know, I'm helping George's Rd. Baptist Church because they have a real need in area of music. Being there last week, I felt rather guilty not to share when we are so blessed in the music realm (kudos to Jesus and His sidekick Brando-man). Amidst my heart screaming STAY WHERE YOU LOVE AND ARE LOVED (I think?:-), I submitted to making myself available to help.
Please pray that while God has me helping there in the mornings that my heart will be right, and I that I will be able to help direct glory to God. I could cry right now, I want to be with you so badly (but don't tell George's Rd. that).
